Homework 
Homework will be given in a packet for a week at a time. It will go home on Monday and will be due back that Friday. Homework includes: reading at least 20 minutes every night, spelling words, math games or practice pages, and an additional activity on reading comprehension, research or writing.
BOOK-IN-A-BAG:
Each night you will take home a Book-in- a- Bag. You must read, then write down in your reading log:
- The date
- Title of the book
- The number of minutes read
- The pages you read
- A parent/adult must sign or initial EVERY night
EXAMPLE OF HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR READING LOG:

Book-in- a- Bag will be turned in on Friday along with homework.
SPELLING WORDS :
10 - 15 Spelling words will be sent home on Monday and listed here on the website. A spelling test will be given on Friday.
I suggest that you and your child set up a schedule for doing homework. This way you can plan days and times to complete assignments, avoiding having to do all homework in one night.
